Discover Hulu Selangor

Discover Hulu Selangor 1Hulu Selangor (formerly called Ulu Selangor) is located in the north of the Klang Valley. The largest of the nine districts in Selangor, with 13 sub-districts, geographically shares the border with Perak in the north and Pahang to the east. The north-south PLUS highway, in addition to a network of major and state roads, make Hulu Selangor very accessible.

The list of recreational parks expands here in the Hulu Selangor district. With so many options, you will definitely have a hard time choosing. Take your pick from Sendat, Kedondong or Inki rivers or take a dip in Kerling or Hulu hot springs when you are in this area.

Sungai Dusun Wildlife Conservation Centre is home to several Malayan Tapirs. The centre is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities where researchers and students can study the animals, and visitors can get up close to observe these gentle creatures.

While Kuala Kubu Bharu may be known for its whitewater rafting activities, another pursuit to be considered is paragliding. From the take-off point Bukit Batu Pahat, which is 1400-foot above sea level, you will enjoy the bird’s-eye view of Selangor.

When you are ready to call it a day, head to Kuala Kubu’s best and unique accommodations like Sarang by the Brook – a container homestay or the Sticks – a resort surrounded by rainforest.

If you don’t fancy sweaty activities, drive up to Genting Highlands for a shopping spree experience and visit Genting Strawberry Leisure Farm which offers a variety of vegetables, flowers and mushrooms which are exported to various regions across the country.
