Gunung Nuang Amenity Forest Claimed

Gunung Nuang Amenity Forest in Hulu Langat offers intrepid trekkers endless opportunities to observe exotic and rare tropical flora and fauna, displaying Malaysia’s primeval and largely unexplored rainforests. [Gombak Hulu Langat Geopark]

The Mount Nuang Granite Peak is one of the Gombak-Hulu Langat Geopark’s geosites, located within the Mount Nuang Forest Eco Park area, and has scientific, recreational, and aesthetic historic values, while being a part of the Hulu Langat Forest Reserve. Mount Nuang Granite Peak belongs to the Hill Dipterocarp Mixed forest type. Furthermore, the existence of biology-related rocks in this location is ideal for recreational and public education objectives, given the complete facilities at the Mount Nuang Forest Eco Park’s entry, such as bathrooms, endowment, and parking. This geosite region is easily accessible via paths or woodland trails.

This mountain was formed by microgranite rocks that formed as a result of the Late Triassic granitic event. This microgranite was first discovered in Genting Sempah, although it was also discovered in the Mount Nuang area. Well-preserved microgranite outcrops were discovered along the river, particularly near the mountain peaks.
