Since its inception in 1991, the Limkokwing University of Creative Technology has been sensitive to market demands, believing that it has a significant obligation to develop graduates who can seamlessly transfer from the classroom to the workplace.
The Limkokwing Institute of Creative Technology was founded to help facilitate much-needed technological transfer in the field of creative education. The Institute had begun to form strategic links with respected and well-known institutions and colleges in United Kingdom, United States, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. At the same time, the Institute had developed strong relationships with industry in order to provide guidance and assistance to students in order to provide the best learning environment possible.
The Institute set the tone for the education community for the next ten years. The philosophy was simply to empower the individual. As a result, the Institute grew. It grew in size. It has been improved. It reviewed.
The Limkokwing University is unique in the way it has grown and merged with the countries in which it has established campuses. The University aligns its programmes with the countries’ national development strategies in order to generate the manpower they need to build their economies.
Through six faculties – Design Innovation, Multimedia Creativity, Communication, Media & Broadcasting, Information & Communication Technology, Business Management & Globalisation and Architecture & Built Environment — the university runs an extensive range of programmes. Its Executive Leadership College also offers specially tailored courses in leadership, entrepreneurship, finance and information technology.
The campus is equipped with everything a student requires. A coffee house, a food plaza with a variety of cuisines, a gym, a hair salon, and a convenience store are among the services and amenities provided to students. An art shop, a print shop, a medical clinic, an e-Library, and state-of-the-art computer labs are also available to students.
