Located strategically in Putrajaya, Malaysia’s administrative capital and Kuala Lumpur’s twin city is Palm Garden Golf Club. The 18 hole course is situated within IOI Resort City, comprising two hotels, namely, Marriott Hotel and Palm Garden Hotel and just 30 minutes to Kuala Lumpur International Airport.
The designer, talented Australian architect Ted Parlsow, has incorporated interesting aspects of the landscape for a course that is set to be exciting as well as enchanting. This is further strengthened when you find greens carpeted by Bermuda Tifdwarf, while the Hybrid Zoysia is used on the tee boxes and fairways. The rough is host to the Zoysia Matrella species.
The two tier drink hut, strategically located in the heart of the course, offers breathtaking views of the course and surrounding wetlands.
The course plays 6,027 meters off the black tees and the real challenges returning with low scores here are the trade mark high lipped bunkers – 77 in total – and the tricky greens with average speed of 10 feet… very much a thinking course as most who experienced playing here would say.
