Selayang Hot Spring is a natural hot spring not far from Batu Caves. Its close proximity to Kuala Lumpur means that it is popular among locals and can get quite busy at weekends and public holidays. Like many other hot springs, the high mineral content of the water is believed to have medicinal powers and be effective in treating various ailments, particularly skin diseases.

Just a few miles from the city, Selayang Hot Spring always be the most visited place during the weekend. This place surrounded by trees and jungles which help visitors to have a body relaxation session in a good way. There are 4 pools that have in Selayang Hot Spring with temperature ranging. It is open from 7 a.m. until late and the entrance fee is free. Visitors only need to pay for parking, RM 2 per car, and RM0.50 per motorbike. Other than that, for toilet entry is RM0.30 and for showers RM0.50.

The high mineral content of the water is believed to have a medical power and be effective in treating various ailments, particularly skin diseases. Facilities at the hot springs include toilets and showers as well as a couple of shops offering traditional massage. There are four pools at temperatures ranging from hot to very hot.

There are several rules according to management notice which:
• Do not put your feet in the pools
• Do not wash clothes in the pools
• Pets are not allowed
• No diving
• Children are not allowed inside the pool
• No littering

According to mindfood website, the health benefits of hot springs are can boost blood circulation, reduce stress by relaxing tense muscles, relieve pain, and also heal skins problem.

[Gombak Hulu Langat Geopark]

Selayang Hot Springs, located in Bandar Baru Selayang, is one of the geosites of the Gombak-Hulu Langat Geopark and has scientific, recreational, aesthetic, and cultural heritage values. The Selayang Hot Spring has become a public attraction, with many facilities and infrastructure provided.

Natural hot springs rise to the surface after being heated at 120 degrees Celsius (°C) along intense faults. These intense faults are associated with the occurrence of major faults formed during the Jurassic-Cretaceous Period periods of erosion, displacement, and basin formation. The temperature in this hot spring is roughly 46 degrees Celsius (°C).Its significance as a geosite is linked to the Kuala Lumpur-Endau Fault, which is a major fault.

This hot springs has become a recreation centre for local communities. In this location, a number of facilities have been created that allow for the temporary use of hot springs. Due to temporary restrictions for maintenance, further information for this area is delayed.
