Tasik Biru, Seri Kundang is one of the Gombak-Hulu Langat Geopark’s geosites, located in Taman Tasik Biru, and possesses scientific, recreational, aesthetic, and cultural heritage values. Tasik Lombong Dedah now serves as a recreation and settlement area, with direct access from State Road B149 (Jalan Kundang) to the Tasik Biru Seri Kundang Geosite, demonstrating a high level of accessibility as well as the basic infrastructure that has been provided around the geosite at Tasik Biru, Kundang series.
Tasik Biru, Seri Kundang, also has a former tin mine and is a contact zone between igneous and background rocks that produced tin minerals during the tectonic episode that occurred in this area. There are piles of Quaternary sediments on the lake’s banks, consisting of sand and rounded pebbles of varying sizes. The open pit lake is presently served for recreation and settlement.
