Selangor, 4 May 2026 — The State of Selangor is pleased to announce the opening of applications for the Visit Selangor Year 2026 Grants, with a total allocation of RM600,000 to support and enhance the ongoing Visit Selangor Year 2026 campaign.
Applications will be open from 4 May 2026 until 31 October 2026, with funding expected to benefit up to 59 tourism programmes and events across the state.
The grants are open to four categories of applicants: local private companies and organisations, government-linked companies that do not receive government funding for promotional activities, subsidiaries under the state government, and local non-governmental organisations (NGOs).
To cater to a diverse range of initiatives, the grants are structured into five tiers:
- Pusing Selangor Dulu Grant – RM3,000
- Discover Selangor Grant – RM5,000
- Splendid Selangor Grant – RM10,000
- Surprising Selangor Grant – RM15,000
- Selangor Kan Ada Grant – RM20,000
Successful applicants will be those who present compelling and impactful proposals that contribute to Selangor’s tourism ecosystem. Priority will be given to programmes that generate socioeconomic benefits at the domestic level through multi-agency collaboration, as well as initiatives organised within Selangor that attract international tourists or involve global partnerships.
In 2025, a total of 30 agencies received grants amounting to RM300,000 under the Visit Selangor Year 2025 initiative. Building on this momentum, the increased allocation for 2026 is expected to further boost tourist arrivals, in line with the national Visit Malaysia Year 2026 campaign, while encouraging more vibrant and localised tourism events throughout Selangor.
