SEPANG, SELANGOR, 25 September 2026 – Selangor Mega Food Fest 2026 is set to bring Selangor’s culinary and entertainment scene to life through the state’s largest food festival, celebrating the best of food, culture, and live performances over three exciting days from 2 to 4 October 2026 at Mitsui Outlet Park KLIA Sepang. The festival is one of the flagship tourism events under Visit Selangor Year 2026 (VSY2026), aimed at positioning Selangor as a leading gastronomy and lifestyle destination in the region.
Organised by Tourism Selangor, the festival will feature more than 60 food and beverage vendors, showcasing the rich and diverse flavours of Selangor through a variety of traditional, contemporary, and trending culinary offerings. Visitors can enjoy a wide range of attractions, including food exhibitions and sales, culinary demonstrations, food-eating challenges, cultural performances, interactive sports activities, creative workshops, and influencer meet-and-greet sessions, offering something for visitors of all ages. Guests will also have the opportunity to explore dedicated food zones showcasing Selangor’s traditional culinary heritage, trending urban food offerings, and locally developed products through the Platform Selangor (PLATS).
More than just a food festival, Selangor Mega Food Fest 2026 embraces a lifestyle festival concept that combines gastronomy, entertainment, and culture in one vibrant destination. Coinciding with the excitement of international motorsport events in the region, including the Bahrain Grand Prix, the festival reflects a growing global trend where food, entertainment, and cultural experiences play an increasingly important role in attracting visitors and encouraging longer stays. Strategically located near KLIA and Sepang, the festival offers an ideal stopover experience for both domestic and international travellers.
A key highlight of this year’s festival will be the launch of the Signature Selangor Campaign, a new initiative by Tourism Selangor aimed at celebrating and promoting the state’s most iconic food and beverage offerings. The campaign showcases culinary products that have become synonymous with Selangor’s identity, reflecting the state’s rich cultural heritage, diversity, and unique local flavours. Through strategic promotional efforts and international marketing initiatives under Visit Selangor Year 2026, Signature Selangor will further strengthen the state’s position as a premier gastronomic destination.
Adding to the excitement, the festival will serve as the platform for the official launch of the Signature Selangor Campaign, an initiative designed to celebrate and promote Selangor’s most iconic food and beverage offerings as symbols of the state’s identity, heritage, and cultural diversity. The launch will also feature the premiere of a special Signature Selangor promotional video, showcasing a curated selection of the state’s signature culinary experiences to local and international audiences as part of ongoing promotional efforts under Visit Selangor Year 2026. The celebration will be further elevated by special performances from renowned local artistes Bunga and Mohsein Kush. Festival-goers can also look forward to three consecutive nights of live entertainment featuring some of Malaysia’s popular performers, including CHERPEN and Sofazr on 2 October, TIP Band on 3 October, and legendary rock bands Kristal X and XPDC on 4 October. Together, these performances and special launches promise to deliver an unforgettable festival experience, making Selangor Mega Food Fest 2026 one of the most anticipated tourism, lifestyle, and entertainment highlights under Visit Selangor Year 2026.
The festival also serves as a platform to empower local food and beverage entrepreneurs by providing opportunities for promotion, marketing, and business networking. The official launch of Selangor Mega Food Fest 2026 will be officiated by YAB Dato’ Seri Amirudin Shari, Menteri Besar of Selangor, alongside YB Dato’ Ng Suee Lim, Selangor EXCO for Local Government and Tourism, together with state leaders, industry representatives, and tourism partners.
The festival is expected to attract more than 20,000 visitors, supporting the broader goals of Visit Selangor Year 2026, which aims to welcome 9 million tourists and generate an estimated RM12 billion in tourism receipts for the state economy.
