KUCHING, SARAWAK, 21 August 2026 – Tourism Selangor successfully concluded its participation at PATA Travel Mart (PTM) 2026, one of the Asia Pacific region’s leading international travel trade events, held in Kuching, Sarawak from 18 to 20 August 2026. The event brought together travel buyers, sellers, tourism boards, airlines, hospitality players and industry stakeholders from around the world, providing a valuable platform for business networking and collaborations.
Tourism Selangor’s participation focused on strengthening the state’s position as a preferred tourism destination in the Asia Pacific market while further promoting the Visit Selangor Year 2026 campaign under the theme “Surprising Selangor.” The event also served as an important avenue to introduce Selangor’s diverse tourism offerings, including cultural attractions, nature and eco-tourism experiences, gastronomy, shopping, family-friendly attractions and urban experiences.
Throughout the three-day event, Tourism Selangor engaged with international travel buyers, tour operators and tourism stakeholders to explore new business opportunities, strengthen strategic partnerships and expand market access for tourism products from Selangor. These engagements are expected to contribute to increasing visitor arrivals, tourism spending and greater international awareness of Selangor as a world-class destination.
The participation also supports the Selangor State Government’s efforts to position tourism as a key driver of economic growth while creating opportunities for local businesses and tourism industry players across the state.
Tourism Selangor’s Manager of Promotion, Puan Khuzaimah Jamaluddin, said that PATA Travel Mart 2026 has provided a valuable platform to strengthen international partnerships and showcase Selangor’s tourism offerings to the Asia Pacific market.
