MEDIA RELEASE
PETALING JAYA, 15 October 2025 – Coffee has become a part of daily life in Selangor, loved not only by locals but also by visitors from around the world. What started as a simple trend has now evolved into a lifestyle and cultural identity that connects people through their shared love of coffee.
To further highlight and celebrate the uniqueness of Selangor’s local coffee, the Selangor State Government, through Tourism Selangor, will be organising the Selangor Coffee Festival (SELCOFF) 2025, which will take place from 17th to 19th October 2025 at The Curve, Damansara, Petaling Jaya.
SELCOFF 2025 will bring together more than 30 local coffee brands and entrepreneurs from all nine (9) districts across Selangor, alongside international coffee players from Vietnam, Indonesia, Singapore and several other regional countries. The festival also serves as a platform for knowledge exchange, innovation sharing and the introduction of new coffee technologies and brewing techniques within the regional coffee community.
According to Chua Yee Ling, Chief Executive Officer of Tourism Selangor, SELCOFF 2025 is more than just a celebration of coffee but it is a collaborative platform for the industry to grow, innovate and connect.
“This festival will serve as a key platform to showcase Selangor’s homegrown coffee brands to regional and global audiences, while strengthening the state’s position as a hub for coffee culture and lifestyle tourism in Malaysia and Southeast Asia,” said Chua.
The three-day festival promises an exciting line-up of activities including coffee exhibitions, barista competitions, hands-on workshops, industry forums, and interactive experiences for visitors. The event will also host the ASEAN Barista Championships, which will see some of the region’s best baristas competing and sharing expertise, offering invaluable exposure and learning opportunities for local talents.
In addition to coffee-related showcases, visitors can also look forward to various lifestyle and entertainment activities throughout the festival. A highlight of the event includes live concerts featuring renowned artists such as Aizat Amdan, Bunga Isme and Tam Spider, promising vibrant evening performances. The festival will also feature a free pickleball court open to the public.
The organisation of SELCOFF 2025 is part of Tourism Selangor’s efforts to align with the goals of Visit Selangor Year 2025, under the theme “Selangor Kan Ada”, which highlights lifestyle tourism, gastronomy and international-standard events.
With an expected turnout of over 30,000 visitors, the festival aims to attract coffee lovers, F&B professionals, baristas, young entrepreneurs, as well as local and international tourists seeking unique and flavourful experiences in Selangor.
