PUSING SELANGOR DULU JUNIOR AMBASSADOR ATTACK 2022
Tourism Selangor Sports and Recreational Club intensify community activities and Corporate Social Responsibility through the tourism promotion campaign ‘Pusing Selangor Dulu!’
SELANGOR, 21 October 2022 – Tourism Selangor Sports and Recreational Club has organised the Pusing Selangor Dulu Junior Ambassador Attack 2022 as part of the Tourism Selangor’s Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) Programmme, in collaboration with the CSR of Menteri Besar Incorporated (MBI) and Yayasan Islam Darul Ehsan (YIDE).
A total of 70 orphans from selected orphanages around Selangor; Pertubuhan Kebajikan Anak Yatim Darul Ehsan Malaysia, Asrama Anak Yatim Damai, Kuang, Pertubuhan Kebajikan Anak Yatim/Miskin Kuala Langat and Rumah Amal Raudhatul Jannah participated in kayaking activities in Bagan Lalang Mangrove, Sepang.
In order to continuously support the development of orphanages under the Yayasan Islam Darul Ehsan (YIDE), Tourism Selangor Sports and Recreational Club has channeled a total of RM 2,000 funds to the Yayasan Islam Darul Ehsan (YIDE) through this CSR Programme. This year’s CSR programme plays a vital role in developing an inclusive tourism industry by involving these children as the ‘little ambassadors’ for the state of Selangor, especially in promoting domestic tourism through the #PusingSelangorDulu campaign.
According to the Chief Executive Officer of Tourism Selangor, Mr. Azrul Shah Mohamad, the Pusing Selangor Dulu Junior Ambassador Attack Programme for the year 2022 is in line with the First Selangor Plan in improving social inclusivity and the people’s well-being while further drive the state of Selangor as an ideal and prosperous state to live by emphasising on the well-being and welfare in a balanced and inclusive manner.
“Sungai Sepang Besar in Bagan Lalang Sepang is selected as one of the initiatives to boost the domestic tourism industry while introducing tourism products and activities to the children who participate in this programme. In addition to that, this programme is able to provide awareness on environmental conservation as well as an introduction towards the rehabilitation of mangrove swamp forests, especially in Bagan Lalang”, said Mr. Azrul Shah Mohamad, the Chief Executive Officer of Tourism Selangor.
The CSR programme implemented by Tourism Selangor Sports and Recreational Club is one of the efforts to bring the community together with the Selangor state government agencies. With the support from several sponsors consisting of local tourism industry players as well as Selangor state government agencies, it is able to enhance the promotion of domestic tourism that is suitable for everyone.
