PUTRAJAYA, 4 JUNE 2025– Tourism Selangor continues to forge ahead in promoting Selangor’s diverse tourism destinations through its participation in the “Jom Ngopi – Tourism Malaysia Net-Work Sesh Session 1/2025: Surprising Selangor!” programme held today in collaboration with Tourism Malaysia.
This impactful yet casual networking session brought together over 300 guests, comprising representatives from ministries, government agencies, higher education institutions and tourism industry players from across the country. The event highlighted Selangor as a premier tourism destination, with the theme “Surprising Selangor!” while promoting the domestic tourism campaign ‘Wah! Selangor Kan Ada!’ in conjunction with Visit Selangor Year 2025 (VSY2025).
Chua Yee Ling, the Chief Executive Officer of Tourism Selangor, stated that the programme serves as a significant platform to strengthen strategic cooperation between Tourism Selangor, Tourism Malaysia and tourism stakeholders. This session not only opens up opportunities to promote new tourism products and destinations in Selangor but also establishes strong communication networks among all industry stakeholders.
A total of 20 exhibition booths were made available, showcasing a wide range of tourism segments including hospitality, theme parks, agro and eco-tourism, gastronomy, as well as culture and heritage. Participants under the Selangor Pavilion included GL Play by Gamuda Land, Sky Mirror Kuala Selangor, Rumah Hutan Terapi Alam Bonda Rozita, Chocolate Museum, Farm Fresh, Heritaste Jenjarom and many more.
In addition to the exhibition, the programme also featured tourism product presentations, lucky draw sessions offering attractive tourism packages and a special performance of the official “Surprising Selangor” campaign song, including a guest performance by Naim Danial.
This programme is in line with efforts to drive domestic and international tourism growth, while enhancing awareness of the unique and diverse tourism offerings in Selangor in the lead-up to Visit Selangor Year 2025.
